Twede’s Cafe, the Double R Diner of Twin Peaks

Twede’s Cafe aka Mar-T Cafe in North Bend, Snoqualmie Valley, Washington, is the Double R Diner featured in Twin Peaks by David Lynch. This is where FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper, played by Kyle MacLachlan, ordered cherry pie and a cup of java from Norma Jennings, played by Peggy Lipton. When tasting the coffee Agent Cooper utters the classic comment “a damn fine cup o’ coffee!” On one wall in the café you can see photos from recordings of Twin Peaks as well as photos from the series and the characters including Laura Palmer. And they do still offer the Cherry Pie and a “damn fine cup o’ coffee!”.
