As ‘they’ say, “I knew him when!” In 2011, I was touring a small Trade Show in Portland, OR., ORGANICOLOGY, looking for what Organic Good Foods were NEW, HOT, JUST GOTTA HAVE. There I meet Daryoush Davidi, PhD, Founder of United with Earth Organic Dates.
BELIEVE me, HIS World is DATES! He is so up with DATES that he proposed to his Wife where … under a Date Tree, OF COURSE! And you know, it’s really nice to meet someone who’s really jazzed about his business and not just doin’ time until the weekend.
He stood there in front of his sign, with a couple stacks of Organic Good Food Medjool Dates, with two in his hands trying to convince the passers-by just how GOOD his Organic Medjool Dates were.
Typically Medjool Dates are sold in bulk in the produce section next to bananas in unsealed boxes whose lids are ALWAYS open and you wonder who has touched ‘em, and how, just before you. And the dates crystallize and loose their fresh look and become less than appealing, and customers tend to stay away from this wonderfully nourish FOOD.
Well, Daryoush Davidi’s Dates (I just LOVE that alliteration, don’t you) are presented in sealed 1-pound packages and are THE SWEETEST, PLUMPEST, SOFTEST DATES EVER! And I know DATES from DATES!
